Over 1,000 clients took small group, private or corporate training classes with NCM in 2008 at various locations around China. Some highlights include:
1. Novartis of Switzerland: NCM has trained over 30 Expat staff and family members of Novartis in Suzhou during the last 2 years. In 2008 Novartis brought more than 10 new Expats to live near their factory being built in Changshu. NCM arranged for trainers to be based in Changshu for their training.
2. Caterpillar of USA: NCM continued with the training of many Expats from Caterpillar Suzhou and Wuxi. Some students have gone from complete beginners to a high level of Chinese during the last two years.
3. Veolia of France: Veolia chose NCM to provide short-term (5-10 day) intensive classes for more than 20 of their senior executives who traveled to Nanjing and Beijing for this training. These special tailor made courses focused on the clients' job needs such as business Chinese, financial Chinese and technical Chinese.
4. Bosch of Germany: Based on our long-term corporate agreement, Bosch Suzhou and Wuxi continued to send many Expats for both group and private lessons in 2008.
5. Danish Embassy: NCM expanded training for the Danish Embassy staff to include more students from the Embassy in Beijing as well as from the Consulate and Innovation Centre in Guangzhou and Shanghai. Students participated in intensive 5-10 day courses as well as regular private lessons of once or twice per week.
