Making new clothes for every member of the family before Spring Festival, which used to be a major task for Chinese housewives, had perhaps not surprisingly fallen out of fashion. But the old tradition seems to be making a comeback; in the last few years, clothes using traditional Chinese design features have been getting more and more popular in major Chinese cities, especially during the crank-down to Chinese Lunar New Year. Many young people have been picking up on the trend, which has now hit the whole country.
