Introduction of China International Auto Parts Expo.
To promote international exchange and cooperation of automobile industry as well as to strengthen self-innovation abilities of automobile and auto parts enterprises and to upgrade their international competitiveness, the Ministry of Commerce of China decides to hold the China International Auto Parts Expo annually.
The 2007 China International Auto Parts Expo (CIAPE 2007) was held in China International Exhibition Center, Beijing from Nov.29 to Dec.1, 2007. 1,049 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions exhibited their latest products, innovation and brand images in CIAPE 2007, covering a floorage of 50,000 square meters. Among these 20% were from overseas. 45,360 visitors attended the show including 6,200 overseas visitors from 97 countries and regions. The top 10 countries and regions with the largest number of visitors are Korea, USA, Russia, Japan, Brazil, Germany, Iran, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Turkey.
The 2008 China International Auto Parts Expo (CIAPE 2008) will be held in China International Exhibition Center (New Venue), Beijing from Nov. 12-15, 2008.
In the context of cut-throat competition in the world automobile market, China's auto parts and aftermarket industries have attracted a worldwide attention for their huge market, low cost and ever improving quality. The world's major automobile and auto parts manufacturers (including joint-ventures), as well as their suppliers and purchasers have transferred their purchasing to China one after another. Therefore, an efficient, normative and high-level platform is urgently needed for them.
As a developing country, China has witnessed fast growth in scale in the automobile industry. Consequently, its demand for advanced management, technologies, intelligence, research and development philosophy, capital and high quality and technologically advanced auto parts is increasing. This will create a huge market and the best opportunity for multinational companies to adjust their industrial chains.
Held by the Ministry of Commerce, P. R. China, China International Auto Parts Expo (CIAPE) is the exclusive internationalized auto parts and aftermarket exhibition by the Chinese Government, which is held in accordance with the principles of globalization, specialization and the market requirement. CIAPE will open a window for both Chinese and international automobile and auto parts industries by introducing their development level and trend of growth. It will serve as a platform for the release and commercialization of new products, technologies and materials, establishment of brand image, introduction of advanced technologies, equipment, key parts, advanced management and overseas intellect. It also aims to promote import and export, exploration of new markets, investment and cooperation both at home and abroad, interaction between R&D and production, and multilateral exchange. It is our belief that CIAPE will provide to Chinese and international auto parts and aftermarket industries an inclusive and multi-perspective platform for exhibition, trade and cooperation. It will furthermore play a positive role in deepening the international division of the global automotive industry and optimizing its supply chain.
CIAPE is supported by 19 automotive societies covering 10 countries and regions (China, Germany, US, Britain, France, Japan, Korea etc), 8 famous multinational automobile groups ( BMW, GM, Toyota etc), world foremost auto parts corporations (Bosch, Denso, Delphi, Magna etc), and 21 domestic whole car manufacturers ( FAW, SAIC Motor, Dongfeng Motor etc) in China.
Significant activities like summit forums and seminars will be held during CIAPE. High ranking Chinese government officials, delegates from renowned international associations, universities and institutions, renowned CEOs and chief purchasers will give brilliant speeches and hold thought-provoking discussions about hot topics, the latest development and international sourcing in the automotive industries, which will be highly authoritative, instructive and pragmatic.
Auto parts and components, after-sale market products (auto electronic devices; automobile necessities; car care and maintenance products, repairing and testing devices and tools, spray plant facilities parking lot facilities; chain stores of fast automobile repairing and after-sale services; equipment and products of recycling waste treatment and environment-friendly automobiles), auto tuning equipment and products, technologies and products of energy-saving and new energy, auto products related media and clubs will be displayed.
The exposition will be attended by whole car, auto parts and aftermarket products suppliers, purchasers and professional visitors from China, the U.S.A, Germany, France, Britain, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Russia, Sweden, Hungary, Czech, the Middle East, Japan, South Korea, India, Turkey, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan etc.
CIAPE is an access to the Chinese market. CIAPE involves a wide spectrum of participating companies which include all the world's major auto and auto parts manufacturers; all range of the 12 production bases of automotive industries certificated by the Chinese government in Changchun, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Wuhan, Wuhu, Taizhou, Xiamen, Baoding, Guangzhou, Hefei and Liuzhou of China; and all Chinese associated enterprises of auto parts and the aftermarket industrial chains. Purchasers and R&D staffs can make the best use of CIAPE to get acquaintance with the major suppliers and to establish new channels for supplying and purchasing.
CIAPE will provide to the world an all-round and accurate understanding about the overall level of China's automotive industry and its trend of development, as well as detailed information of product quality, prices and intentions of cooperation in China's auto parts and after sale markets. CIAPE 2008 will issue the Directory of Chinese Auto Parts Enterprises with all companies certified and approved by the commerce department of the Chinese government.
CIAPE will give a comprehensive introduction of the latest trend of the global auto industry and products, advanced production input and technologies, sophisticated R&D philosophies, environmental protection concepts, manufacturing and purchasing modes, managerial strategies, as well as China's R&D achievements with independent intellectual property rights.
