We cordially welcome you to the 9th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), China's sole nation-wide international investment promotion event focusing on pushing forward bilateral investments. The annual CIFIT, which is held in Xiamen, Fujian province China during Sept.8-11, With its themes of “Introducing FDI” and “Going Global”, CIFIT bases itself on China's policy guidelines concerning absorption of FDI, publicizing China's policies, laws and environments of foreign investment while encouraging Chinese enterprises to “go global”. Foreign Governmental Institutions, Commercial Associations and enterprises are invited to introduce their foreign investment policies, investment environments and investment projects, and to network with potential Chinese enterprises. The “International Investment Forum” and dozens of seminars on hot investment issues，as well as the matchmaking symposia held during CIFIT，have contributed to the growing popularity and strategic significance of this international investment venue.
In 2004 the 8th CIFIT had 11,841 overseas visitors from 118 countries and regions, including delegations sent by 300 overseas institutions from 64 countries and regions. Governmental institutions, trade associations and enterprises from 43 countries set up their booths. More than a thousand investment projects were introduced by 57 countries and regions, and many of them even sponsored Pavilion Day activities. The 9th CIFIT will keep highlighting its nationwide and global coverage, bilateral investment promotion, publicity of Central and East China and the old industrial bases in Northeast China, as well as the feature of relations with Taiwan in trade and economy. By combining investment with trade, exhibition with talks, project promotion with policy consultation, and commercial activities with policy and information releases, the Fair provides a premier platform for China and other countries and regions to promote international investment and trade.
